Ahmed Ragheb has over twenty years in the fitness industry practicing as a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. He is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditional Association (NSCA), and National Sports Performance Association (NSPA). Mr. Ragheb specializes in group fitness training, massage therapy, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and sports injury prevention and Rehabilitation. Past clients include the Northern Virginia Women’s Rugby Football team, the Washington DC Furies Rugby Football team, the University of Maryland College Park Football team and the Washington Redskins.
Mr. Ragheb began his career in sports as an athlete in Olympic Weightlifting. He represented his home country of Bosnia in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and spent more than a decade competing at the national and international level. He set a U.S. Olympic Weightlifting record in 1998 for the Clean and Jerk, and he still holds the record in Maryland and Virginia for the Snatch and Clean and Jerk.
With his personal experience as an athlete as well as his training and certifications, Mr. Ragheb has a proven track record in leveraging his knowledge to help bring out the best in his clients, whether they wish to overcome an injury, maintain strength, or simply improve their health.
